“Birds & Dunes” a Paradise in Brazil - June 2026
Photography voyage in June 2026
Organized by Uwe Hasubeck Gabi and I did a private guided photography trip to Brazil. This was our first trip to this amazing country. We started our tour in the Atlantic Rainforest 5 hrs south of São Paulo. We stayed for 4 nights at the Trilha dos Tucanos Lodge. Very nice location with plenty of birds photography possibilities. After all the birds we went back to São Paulo for a flight to São Luís. São Luís is the gate into the dunes of Lencois Maranhenses NP. Our first destination in the dunes was Santo Amaro. We did several drives into the magic landscape of the white dunes. Next destination was Barreirinhas 2 hrs drive away from Santo Amaro. Here we did 2 scenic flights over the dunes with doors off the plane. Really magic!
After all the dunes we continued to a small village at the beach - Tutoia. This is the location for the red Ibis another magical encounter on tis trip. We finished our journey with a couple of days at the beach to relax in the small village of Tatajuba.
