Magic Zambia Wildlife Safari - July 2025
Photography trip in July 2025
Organized by Experiment Africa we did a 2 weeks photography trip to Zambia into Kafue NP and Lower Zambezi NP. We started our tour with 1 night at Latitude 15 in Lusaka and the headed into Kafue NP to Musekese Camp for 4 nights. The camp and location is very beautiful and scenic - wildlife was a bit quiet overall. We had private guide and vehicle in all camps. Guiding standard is very good with all Classic Zambia camps. Finally we managed to get 2 leopard sightings at the first camp. 2nd camp on tour was Ntwemwa Busanga Camp. Filght took only 30 minutes and Wilton awaited us on the airstrip for the first morning game drive up there. Totally different habitat with big open plains. . We had really excellent mornings with mist on the plains and sunrise colors. Photographically this was the highlight of the whole trip. Quite chilly mornings and long drives up to the hot spots with the lions. It took us 1 - 1.5 hrs drive in the morning to get there from the camp - 04:15 knock… knock…. and 04:45 leave camp.
The flight to Jeki Airstrip took almost 2.5 hrs because of heavy winds. We started with 3 nights at Chula Island Camp. Again completly different habitat and camp feeling. Game drives at Chula have been productive with leopards and lots of elephants in the forest.
Last destination was Kutali Camp for 5 nights. Location is superb and staff most friendly. Game drives very interesting with lots of leopards.
Overall a very good safari which makes taste to come back once in a time.
